HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

We love you so much! You are the best Dad ever! I love how when you wake up, the first thing you want to do is hang out with us and play. I love it when you read to our kids, play hide and seek, pretend you are a horsey, draw chalk outlines of Freeman on the patio, say prayers and that you taught Freeman to say please and thank you. I love how Nate's face lights up when he hears your voice or see you come into the room and that he can't wait to be big enough to wrestle and play with you. We love it how you make everything fun and make us laugh. We think you are awesome and such a great example to all of us. Thank you for being the best Dad and best Husband.

Lovies,

Tiff, Freeman V, Nate, & Tohbi

Happy 2nd Birthday Freeman!

Birthday Present

Freeman's Birthday Present is hiding in his bed!

Discovering the hidden present...
Tearing the wrapping paper off so quickly...
Playing with the.. GARBAGE TRUCK!!!

Freeman loves watching the garbage come and get our trash. He also has a book about a Garbage Truck that he seems to have memorized. So what better than a garbage truck for his birthday. Freeman loves this truck and will recite quotes from his book while playing with it. ("Eat the trash," "Beep Beep Beep Hey! Beep Beep Out of my Way!" "Roar," "Burp!")

Freeman's partner, Kelly, had been recovering from a broken finger so they weren't able to be on bikes for a few months. On Kelly's first day back, they were happily reunited as the "Bike Squad." Well... a few hours into this glorious reunion, a bad guy came along... It was "chase" time! Freeman and Kelly were on pursuit and Freeman was jumping over walls to get this guy! The last wall he came to... there were empty garbage cans on the other side that couldn't hold Freeman's weight... so he braced himself as he fell, and.... dislocated his elbow and fractured it. (Kelly, got the bad guy and while arresting him, happily didn't mind that the suspects face was getting pushed into a muddy puddle... Thanks Kel!)
So sadly, the Bike Squad is on hold again.

And of course, Freeman has the habit of not letting me know anything, so I get a phone call hours after this happens saying, "I dislocated my elbow, I'm coming home." When he shows up he has is Sergent with him, and he is in a sling, with his shirt off with monitors still sticking to him! My poor Freeman. Then a few days after getting a cast all up his left arm, Freeman was having some cases of claustraphobia ( or just feeling restricted with his cast) and wanted his cast off, so I found him trying to saw it off himself! Luckily the doctor fixed that for him. Ha Ha.

Freeman had surgery a week ago, and the doctor found that not only did he fracture it in about 4-5 different places, he pretty much smushed the radial head so that was replaced with a new one. He is recovering well and can't wait to get his splint off.

Boo!

There is this game I play with Nathan that just makes him crack up. Well, the other day, Nathan was getting fussy and before I knew it, Freeman was over by Nathan immitating the game I play with Nate. Nate cheered up immediately and Freeman and him were having a blast. Ever since then this is Freeman's favorite thing to do with him. We just love it and think it's so neat that our boys are now starting to play together.

OPERATION JUSTICE

Last week, the U.S. Marshall's put on "Operation Justice," which the main goal was to track down and arrest those with warrant's of violent crimes. The U.S. Marshall's requested help from a few police officers in different departments throughout the city. Freeman's department asked him to represent Avondale and he happily took this assignment. Freeman's team consisted mostly of U.S. Marshall's, FBI, and some Police Officers and they worked in Avondale, Buckeye and parts of Phoenix finding these bad guys. The first day they were in Avondale, and since that's Freeman's city he had the extra knowledge to locate these people. He kind of took charge of the team and was complimented on his leadership by the men he worked with. And with the help of Freeman, they made a few extra arrests that weren't on their lists. "Operation Justice" was a success and I am so proud of my husband with all his hard work getting those bad guys off the streets.

McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park

Last Friday we went to go visit Aunt Nadia and Grandpa Homenick. We went over to the Railroad Park so the boys could have their first train ride at Great Grandpa's Park. Little Freeman was mesmerized by the train and didn't like the carousel all to much. Nate loved the train so much that it rocked him to sleep in Nadia's arms.

Freeman waiting excitedly for the next train ride. Freeman also likes to hold hands when we are outside and I don't know if he was a little intimidated by how busy the park was, but he would not let go of Aunt Nadia's finger.

Just Hanging Out

So, the boys rooms are on the other side of the house so I have to use a baby monitor to hear them during the night. Well, on this particular night I must have turned off the baby monitor in my sleep because after sleeping through the night I woke up and saw the monitor off. I rushed in to check on Nate and he was just hanging out. (Unfortunately I could tell he probably was upset sometime during the night because he is laying sideways in his crib) I then checked on Little Freeman and he was halfway off his bed. Whoops!

Little Freeman loves cuddling with dad and having him read. Nathan joined in on this one I thought they all looked so sweet reading together.

Our little budding artist!

Freeman has been drawing outside with chalk, but hasn't been interested in crayons or markers. Well, I caught him on our desk with a green marker coloring on any paper within reach. I put him in his high chair and gave him some markers. He kept drawing circles and said he was drawing a ball.

Swat Rifle Training

(Freeman is in the middle of the backrow)

Being newly added to the SWAT team, one of Freeman's new pieces of equipment consists of a rifle. He was required to attend a week long Rifle Training for his new weapon and qualified as "Expert." His next SWAT training is coming up and I'm hoping they will take pictures of the helicopter skid ride that is scheduled for them.

New Haircut!

So I hit the 4 month mark of not doing anything for my hair, so my wonderful husband came along with me and the kiddos so I could finally get my hair done. (It's about a 45 minute drive so that's why it's a family event....) Freeman's Aunt Donna did my hair, and like always, I love what she did to my hair!

Easter Weekend

Nate hanging out with Great Grandma. He was really enjoying her company.
First ride with mom! Tiff loved being back on the quad! Grandpa Freeman took us all on a little ride just down below Great Grandma's house in Wickenburg. We went underneath a canopy of trees and it was so beautiful. Wickenburg is the best place to go riding!Riding with Dad!
Grandpa Free and Freeman on their traditional Quad ride. Whenever Freeman sees pictures of quad's he signs, "Grandpa" because he remembers his last ride with him.
Freeman flirting with Great Grandma Pauline. They were quite the dancing couple.

Nathan and Dad

Freeman's first Easter Egg hunt. Aunt Donna was helping him find the eggs. I think Donna was more excited than Freeman on this egg hunt. :)
Freeman loved hanging out with her.

Easter Weekend

Nate loves his Exersaucer!

Hanging out with Dad. This is at the Spring Fling in Avondale. He loved riding around with dad.
Nate at the end of the event. Getting a little sleepy!

Little Freeman ran up to Big Freeman to give him "knuckles".

The Freeman's make the Newspaper!

This past weekend The City of Avondale put on a Spring Fling promoting safety. Freeman and his partner helped teach bike safety to children. They had an obstacle course for the kids to ride and Big Freeman helped out Little Freeman ride through the course. That caught the eye of a photographer for the West Valley View newspaper and after taking the picture asked if he had permission to publish it. So here is the link for the Father-Son newspaper debut!

I guess the issue isn't available online anymore, but to see the picture follow the directions.

Our Little Chunk

Whenever I change Nathan or it's bathtime he just makes me smile. He is "Our Little Chunk," as we like to call him. I love pinching his cheeks and I call his arms, "Popeye Arms." I thought this picture was so sweet. He is working on sitting and he is in the "Tripod" position in this picture.
